On the occasion of former president Dr APJ Abdul Kalam’s birth anniversary, October 15, the state government has urged all the schools, colleges and offices to observe ‘Vachan Prerna Divas’ (Inspire to Read Day).Under the banner of Oriental Education Society ,Sanpada college of Commerce and Technology celebrates Vachan Prerna Divas on 15th October2018 .
Founder’s day Celebration
Today 1st of October was a notable day in the calendar of Oriental Education society when at Sanpada college campus, four colleges of Oriental Education society celebrated the Founders day. The first course to start in the campus was Bachelor’s of Education and later followed by Oriental college of pharmacy , commerce and science college and then the law college. Since past ,13 years Sanpada college campus has grown in leaps and bounds. Today it was also the 75 birthday of our Honorable Prof. Javed Khan, president of Oriental Education society, Ex education minister and ex chairman of Cidco, labor Minister and many more accolades to his credit.
A grand welcome was given to Prof. Javed Khan, who was,, accompanied by Ms. Humera Khan (wife of Prof Javed Khan) treasurer of OES and Mr. Waseem Khan the managing director. The college has around 14 Years of it’s journey and many more miles to go in the coming future.
Flowers were showered on him while he passed through the gallery and was felicitated by a huge garland of 5ft length to acknowledge the commendable work done by him in the field of education. The other founder members Mr. Waseem Khan Managing director of oes and Ms. Humera Khan Treasurer OES were also felicitated. The principals of all the 4 colleges were present in the celebration. Everything happened under the able guidance of Prof Raosaheb principal of sanpada college of commerce and technology. SCCT was the host of the day and the cultural committee of SCCT presented a beautiful show on the occasion.
The cultural event comprised of few songs ,shyari recital done by the teachers and students of the college.
The cultural show was highly appreciated by Prof Javed Khan and he appreciated the Students by gifting them RS 1500 each as cash prize.
A documentary on Prof Javed Khan’s life journey was presented which inspired the masses. Honeoable Prof. Javed Khan has set an example before the masses that how can a boy from small town of UP can grow only by his sheer hard to a stature of a cabinet minister, an educationist, philanthropist and social reformer

As a part of academic activity, the Faculty of Commerce organized one day academic events under the banner “Environs-2016” on 1st October, 2016 at Seminar Hall of our college. The timing of the programme was from 9:00 am to 2:00 p.m. The honourable Principal Dr. D. M. Muley inaugurated the programme by cutting a ribbon and lighting of the lamp. At the outset, the cultural dance on ganesh vandana was performed by the students. The B.Com chief Co-ordinator Prof. Sushil S. Jadhav gave a welcome speech and programme oath “Me & My Nation India” to all the professors and students. It was indeed an encouraging oath. Then, he felicitated Principal Sir. The felicitation of chief Co-ordinators, teachers and judges was done by the students. After felicitation, Principal sir gave an emphatic speech on “IMPORTANCE OF MANAGEMENT & COMMERCE”. He also explained various theories of Management to the students.
There were overall five events had been organized such as PPT Presentation, Debate Competition, Accountancy Aptitude Test, Poster Competition and Rangoli Competition. All these events were based on themes such as Environment, E-Commerce, Social Issues and Current affairs. The main purpose of this programme was to provide a platform to the students to show their talent and improve their presentation skills, communication skills, writing skills and creativity thereby developing overall personality of the students.
