A 3 days offline scholarship awareness session for the students of First Year was conducted in order to explain and motivate them about the importance, benefit, process & eligibility of various scholarship schemes provided by Government and Private Organizations.

LIBRARY DAY EVENT

On 13th AUGUST,2022, the Magazine and Library committee organized the Library day event.
The event started by 10.30 am and all the teachers and students were gathered. Chairperson felicitated Vice principal Ms. Sheela, Coordinate Dr. Roseline, Librarian Ms. Rupali and Lab attended. The Chairperson of Magazine and Library Committee Ms. Ivy Ganguly gave the speech. Quiz competition was conducted for students of SCCT. It was a memorable event to remember the importance of libraries and books in the college.

REPORT ON ORIENTATION PROGRAMME OF BAF & BBI

Orientation on 9th August 2022, The program was held in Seminar hall from 9:40 am to
10.40 am. Our respected Vice- Principal Prof. Sheela Warbhuwan Madam, The Coordinator
Dr. Roseline Linitta maam, Senior faculty H.O.D of BAF Department Prof. Zaibunniza Hafiz and H.O.D. of BBI Department Prof. Sarah Samuel, Prof.Ameer Shaikh, Senior Faculty Prof. Nizammudin Shaikh and respective Class teacher of BBI and BAF Prof Deepti Menon and Prof. Amruta Oturkar

The program started with an introduction regarding College’s Founder and President Late
Prof. Javed Khan Sir. A informative presentation on Course, Event, Committee etc shown
by Prof. Zaibunniza Hafiz, Prof. Sarah Samuel. There were 36 students present for BAF and 31 students present for BBI orientation programme.

All the students were present and understood the Orientation program and response was
Wonderful.

The program ended with the Vote of Thanks given by Prof. Nizam Sir.


IT/CS Department Orientation Report

Department of Information Technology and Computer Science organized an orientation program on 12th August 2022 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM in the seminar hall. This orientation program was conducted for the newly admitted students of the department in the academic Year 2022-23. Prof. Sheela Warbhuwan (Vice-Principal), Prof. Roselin Linitta ( Coordinator), Prof. Vidula Kulkarni (HOD-IT), Prof. Jyoti Yadav (HOD-CS) and a team of faculty members graced the occasion.

Prof. Sheela Warbhuwan addressed the audience and congratulated students for selecting the IT field as a career option. The aim of this program was an ice-breaking of newly admitted students. Dr.Roselin Linitta welcomed all the newly admitted students and appealed to the students to participate in various inter-college and intra-college events.

The orientation program is an important part of a student’s education process. It enables parents to monitor and reinforce a child’s progress throughout the year. Prof. Vidula Kulkarni acquainted the house with the realm of oriental education society and SCCT, Sanpada. She also briefed on training and placement activities, familiarizing herself with the institution’s facilities. Audio and Video aids and Powerpoint presentations were used to inform the students about the exciting world of IT.

Prof. Jyoti Yadav was briefed about departmental information, academics, semester pattern, passing criteria and exam rules, projects, code of conduct, co-curriculum and extracurricular activities, cultural and sports activity, Industrial visits, Scholarships, etc.

Students in huge numbers attended the orientation program. The feedback from students was taken during the program. Prof. Vidula Kulkarni proposed a vote of thanks. The orientation program was conducted successfully and students also expressed similar views.

Report on Motivational Session

Looking at the current scenario post covid students have started coming for offline lectures but due to a huge duration of lockdown students are quite aimless and lack a lot of soft skills. Keeping this in mind a motivational session was organized for the students of Second year where various interactive activities were conducted to break their ice and motivate them to have a better attitude.

In total 73 students attended the session where interactive activities were conducted by Prof. Bushra Ansari for the student to make them understand the meaning of Communication and Empathy in their routine life now a days.

FYBMS ORIENTATION PROGRAM 2022

A formal orientation programme for welcoming the first-year student was organized to make them aware about all the details regarding college.

The PowerPoint presentation was prepared by Prof. Bushra Ansari which comprised of all the details like infrastructure, gymkhana, scholarship, sports, DLLE, cultural, examinations, attendance, library, etc.
The total strength of FYBMS is 120 out of which 108 students attended the program.
Students were given their college ID card as well after the programme was over.
The event commenced with welcoming and small address by Prof. Sheela W. Sakhare, Vice Principal & Dr. Roselin Linnita, Co-ordinator which was followed by address by Prof. Bushra Ansari. Later part of the event was presented by Prof. Santu Parui and Prof. Akanksha Shirgaonkar. The whole event was conducted smoothly with the help of student volunteers of SYBMS as well.

FYBCOM ORIENTATION PROGRAM

SEMINAR ON VFX AND ANIMATION BY MAAC, VASHI

Academic Year 2022-2023

On 5th AUGUST,2022, the Department of Multimedia and Mass communication in association with IQAC organized a seminar on VFX and ANIMATION by MAAC, Vashi for the students of SCCT. The students from Bammc, BSC IT and BSC CS attended the seminar with full enthusiasm. The seminar began at 10.30 a.m.with the Introduction given by Prof. Ivy Ganguly, HOD, BAMMC. Then it was handed over further to Mr. Sandeep Singh, Center Head of Maac. He explained briefly about VFX and Animation and what are the career opportunities in the Industry. How VFX and Animation have a great future in all the streams. Mr. Sandipan Mitra, Expert faculty of MAAC, Vashi explained vividly the software used and the efforts taken to create a masterpiece VFX Videos.. He demonstrated on how to use softwares and actually apply it on the pictures. The seminar ended with a good Question and Answer session taken by Mr. Sandeep Singh. At the end of the seminar all the students were given a small token by MAAC.

IT DEPARTMENT ACTIVITY REPORT (Academic Year 2020-21)

“Online Aptitude Test”

Department of Information Technology is primarily for students who are seeking a career in the field of ‘advanced technology’. Department of Information Technology conducted online aptitude test for the students from all FY,SY and TY classes on 9th November 2020 through online platform. The aim of this test is to build the confidence of students to appear and success in such type of aptitude test to enter in the corporate world of technology. This test, develops logical reasoning, verbal ability and analytical skills of the students.

Honourable Dr. Piyush Joshi, Faraday Institution Research Fellow, University of Birmingham, UK was the chief guest. During inaugural session, Dr. Joshi addressed the students and expressed his views on importance of skill required in IT field. E- Certificates were also provided to the students who were successfully completed the test.

“Workshop on Hibernate”

IT Department has also organized the workshop on “Hibernate” for the final year students on the same day i.e. 9th November 2020 in afternoon session in association with SQUAD INFOTECH. Mr. Shashank Mundaye was the resource person who works in division of SQUAD INFOTECH. He is SME in JAVA/Python, CODER Technologies – A Division of SQUAD INFOTECH. Mr. Shashank covered ORM tool, pro’s and con’s of Hibernate, JDBC etc.

Management of the OES, Principal and administrative team motivated and guided the organising team to make the grand success of both the sessions.


TECH – FIESTA

Faculties of Department of Computer Science, Sanpada College of Commerce and Technology had organized the first departmental activity – TECH FIESTA a complete online program on 12 November 2020. Three different events were arranged for the students namely Online Aptitude Test, Slogan Making and Unmask

The event was kicked off by Prof. Anooja Nair by welcoming the dignitaries. The department had presented a tribute to Late Prof. Javed Khan Sir, Founder President to express our condolences. The virtual inauguration had been made by the Chief guest Ms. Toshiba Shukla, trainer for UPSC, NET and other competitive exams.

Prof. Smita Negi, HOD, Department of Computer Science introduced the event and spoke about the relevance and significance of this event. The Chief Guest motivated the students to participate in events and ask them to select the journey other than success, in her address. Principal Sir, Vice Principal and Course Co-ordinator also shared their views

Prof. Gokul Choudhary proposed the Vote of thanks. Thereafter, the competitions had been conducted from 10.15 am onwards. The entire event culminated at 12:30 pm. Overall the event was a success as the students enjoyed and participated in the event with lot of zeal and vigour.


BAF DEPARTMENTAL EVENT REPORT

Department of BAF conducted ‘Aptitude test’ event dated 10th Nov, 2020. Organiser of the event were Prof. Ali, Prof. Sabnoor Fatima and Prof. Zakir. Chief guests for the event were Principal Dr.B.B.Sonule, Vice principal Prof. Sheela Warbhuwan and Chief coordinator Dr. Roselin Linitta. Overall 95 students has participated from FY, SY & TYBAF out which 48 students scored more than 70% and felicitated with E-certificate for the same.

Event went in flow as per the planning and overall event was grand success with full efforts of team.


BBI DEPARTMENTAL EVENT REPORT

Department of BBI conducted ‘Quiz competition’ event dated 10th Nov, 2020. Organiser of the event were Prof. Zaibun, Prof. Sarah, Prof. Ashraf and Prof. Sameera. Chief guests for the event were Principal Dr.B.B.Sonule, Vice principal Prof. Sheela Warbhuwan and Chief coordinator Dr. Roselin Linitta. Overall 40 students has participated from FY, SY & TYBBI out which 4 students scored more than 60% and felicitated with E-certificate for the same.

Intra college Singing and Dance competition….. Beats 2018

On 18th of September , intra college dance and singing competition was organized by the cultural committee of the College from 10.30am to 1.00 am. The event was inaugurated by Principal Prof. Raosaheb, celebrity judge Mr. Suraj(dancer an choreographer) , vice principal Prof. Sheela and other two judges of the day Prof. Ivy Ganguly and Prof. Mustak and Prof. Harjeet Bhatti chairperson cultural committee.
Overwhelming participation of the students , their enthusiasm and the spirit to give their best was in the air. Students from various stream flocked together to give an energetic start to the event. Approximately 13 students participated in solo singing, four groups were there to perform group dance and 11 Students participated in solo dance competition.
The judges really had a hard time in judging the best among the lot All the performances made a mark in the heart of the audience.

PRIZE DISTRIBUTION CEREMONY

Prize distribution ceremony is the event when we acknowledge the talent of position holders, the position holders who have been struggling and facing many challenges and difficulties to be pioneers. In fact, that’s all because of their own perseverance, constancy and determination that they are selected as champion.
Sanpada College of commerce and technology organized the prize distribution ceremony, 2018 on 3rd Feb ‘2018. The guests for the day were Prof. Rao saheb and Mr. James Jones. Achievers for academic, sports and extracurricular activities were awarded.
He first and the second rank holders if BMS, BAF, BMM, BBI, Bsc.C.s, Bsc. I.T, B.Com courses we’re awarded. Students who had participated in annual sport event held between 18th Decto 20 the Dec”17 and had won were also awarded.
The event had a special attraction wherein the Best teacher award was given to Prof Mustak Deraiya and Prof. Sheela Warbhuvan, who had served the college for the past 7 to 8 years with sincerity and integrity. Their sheer hard work was acknowledged by the management and principal on this day. The guest Mr James Jones National Refree (Football) appreciated the efforts taken by the institution in motivating the students to participate in various sport events at inter collegiate ,state ,district or National Level.
The Principal of the college Prof.Raosaheb congratulated the winner and inspired the students to do well in life.
The vote of thanks was given by Prof.Harjeet Bhatti, the chairperson of Prize Distribution Committee. The event was indeed a grand success.

Report of BMS Department Event COGNITE conductd on 29th September 2017

The BMS department came up with the yearly departmental event under the name of “COGNITE – Be Innovative Be Productive” for the students across all the academic class of the BMS department.

Firstly all the volunteers, participants and audience students were given breakfast before the commencement of the event. Post the breakfast, event was inauguratedin the Seminar Hall by lightening of the lamp which was done by our Respected Principal Prof RaosahebShinde along with the Guest and Judge Mr. Shanu Jain, who is a GST Tax Inspector. The Guest judged the events like PowerPoint presentation and Ad-Mad Show. The winners were declared and prize trophies were given to the winners by Mr. Jain after which he left. Clicktrue Competition ( Frame The Moment)

The fisrt chapter chapter of Bombay Odyssey begins

15 January 2016 marked the inauguration of “Bombay Odyssey-A tale of talent”, at Sanpada College of Commerce and Technology.

The very first “Clickture Photography Competition” was marked as the advent of Bombay Odyssey. A three days event which is giving its commuters an opportunity to voice their talent with the contest which comprises three categories – “Clickture”, “Market-e-baazar” and “Screen on”.

The event rolled in with Clickture which aims to celebrate beautiful photography passion that the new generation shares.

Dramatic skies, varying shades of colors, silhouettes, wild life are the few among the many fantastic photos that our newbie photographers captured.
Showcasing the embodiment of the spirit of SCCT students, the event was inaugurated by DR F.A Shaikh, Principal SCCT, in the presence of all the faculties.

Ritesh Krishnan, an allied fashion photographer in the industry, also head creative with Provogue, judged the Photo exhibition contest and graced the occasion with his elegant presence.

The bout, under the patronage of Ivy Ganguly, HOD BMM Department, Professor Harjeet Kaur and Professor Mamta Mishra, turned out to be a massive hit of the day. While University Representative Rahul Singh Lalia, General Secretary Ammaar Rizvi, Chairpersons Pooja Raorane and Shahbaz Khan shouldered to bring the Photo exhibition a great success.


Report on ORIENS’15

The Sanpada College of Commerce and Technology organized the 7th Inter College fest under the banner ORIENS’15 from 4th Dec to 10th Dec, 2015. Beginning on a very small note in the year 2010, today the fest has grown manifold. The fest went on for 5 days with over 25 events. This year ORIENS’15 started on 4th Dec which included indoor events from various fields such as Fine Arts Events as( Hair Styling, Graffiti, Salad Decoration Mr and Ms Photogenic) , Management Events like(Ad Mad Show & Brand Raiser), Media Events(Live Reporting, Short Film Making Photography), IT Events like(Web Designing, Debugging ) and Literary Events as (Debate, Spell Bee, Essay Writing, Quiz). ORIENS culminated on 10th Dec with events organized at Vishnudas Bhave Hall in Vashi, featuring Dance and Fashion show. The theme of the events was ‘Colours” (Ho Ja Rangela Re).

The final event on 10th Dec began with the lightening followed by the facilitation of the guests. College Principal Dr. F. A Shaikh welcomed the gathering. Prof Kale presented the Annual College Report, where emphasis was laid on the milestones the College had achieved. The Chief Guest Mr. Prabhat Ranjan Police Commissioner, Navi Mumbai graced the occasion, getting nostalgic for his good old college days.

Later the third year academic toppers were felicitated by the Chief Guest. Group dance and fashion competition was held thereafter where students showcased their best talent. The event concluded with college University Representative Rahul Singh giving away the vote of thanks. The grand success of the event was possible because of the constant encouragement of our Principal Dr. F.A. Shaikh, the hard work of the teachers, enthusiasm and zest of the student members, and all those who supported us in some or other way.


Photography & Mono-Acting

During the cultural week, various events and activities were conducted between 1st Dec, to 9th Dec, 2015.  Students showed their smartness in photography, mono- acting and the world of music.


12th & 13th August 2015

The department of IT and CS had organized a 2 days inter-college technical fest INSPIRON 2015 on 12th and 13th August 2015. The fest got even bigger this year as compared to last years in terms of increase in days (i.e from one day to two days) and eventually with an increase in the number of competitions coupled with increase in total prizes. The two days of extravaganza witnessed good response and participation from students. Variety of technical events like technical seminars, Quiz, Project, Experts review and programming Activities were organized at various venues in the college campus arranged by the students. The program started by lightening of the lamp by the Principal Dr. F.A.Shaikh .The inspirational speech given by the principal helped in boosting the confidence of the students. The General Secretary of the oriental society Mr Azeem Khan also attended the function with Great Spirit and enthusiasm.

He highlighted the importance of being informative at all times and focused on how software and hardware go hand in hand together and to have knowledge of both. He also took a view of all the projects on display and interacted with all the participants. Technical seminars on the following topics like “Sixth Sense Technology”,”Virtual Reality”, “Drone”,”Artificial Intelligence”, were presented by the students . Various experts like Mr. Aniket Shedge and Mrs. Sandeepa Kachroo obliged our request for being external judges for technical seminar. Working Models like “Child Tracking System”,” Glucose Alarm”, “Mutual Induction”, Lemon Battery”, “Door Locker” were put on display. Awareness about how smoking is injurious to health was demonstrated. The aim was to provide a platform for the students to showcase their Technical skills and knowledge.

The students were also enlightened by Mr. Sanjeev Sharma from Microsoft with the latest technology of Cloud Computing and a session on career guidance-that was appreciated by one and all present. Technical Quiz was also very challenging. An innovative approach in quiz was implemented. The traditional way of using timers were replaced by gadgets to judge who hit the buzzer first which was created by our own student from TYBScIT Mr. Shakti Shekhar. Kill your brains helped the students to test their analytical and logical reasoning skills. This was an individual event.
These fests are organized every year with the objective to provide platform for the students to showcase their talent with a competitive spirit.

The event was successful enough to attract as many registrations for two day fest which includes all the events.


Debate Competition -1 On 10th August, 2015

Debate is a formal argument, in which two opposing teams propose or attack a given proposition or motion in a series of speeches. It is governed by a set of rules, which permit interruptions or “point of information” by the opposition. This is an exciting moment when we defend our views and win the debate before the audience.

Sanpada College of commerce and Technology conducted English Debate on 10th of August in the college seminar hall between 10.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. There were fifteen groups containing 60 participants from the seven streams. The entire stream, B.COM./BBI/BAF/BMM/BMS/IT/CS students took part in full swing. It was over excitement to participate in the debate. All the members of debating society were present along with the chairperson Dr. S .S. Bhandari.


Debate Competition – 2 On 1st  Sept, 2015

H. R. College of Commerce, Chembur- Mumbai conducted intercollegiate debate competition on 1st September, 2015. More than two hundred fifty students took part from the different colleges. 17 students from Sanapada College of Commerce and Technology also took part in debate. After putting whole hearted efforts our student were able to reach up to the 2nd round in Debate. Though we lost the battle, it gives us potentiality to face the challenge in coming activities.


Debate Competition – 3 On 7th Dec, 2015

Under the Oriens, 2015 Sanpada College of Commerce & Technology organized inter collegiate Debate on 7th Dec, 2015. There were 6 teams from the different streams.

The topics were :

  • Intolerance
  • Make in India

Quiz Competition On 4th Dec, 2015

Sanpada College of Commerce & Technology conducted intercollegiate quiz competition on 4th Dec, 2015 in the seminar hall. There were four groups having five students in each group.  The questions were framed from the various aspects. The quiz was conducted in three rounds.


Essay Writing Competition On 4th Dec, 2015

Sanpada College of Commerce & Technology conducted intercollegiate Essay Writing Competition on 7th December in Hindi, Marathi and English. More than 24 students took part in this respect from the different colleges.

The topics were :

  • National Integrity
  • Cleanliness Drive
  • Modern System of Education
  • Benefits of Yoga

 

Miss Uma Khandekar from KLE  College got first while Rishika Yadav got second position in English essay writing. On the other hand in Hindi essay writing Miss Madhu Jha got first and Annu Singh got second position from Sanpada College.
